Work Opportunities Unlimited is seeking enthusiastic individuals for rewarding careers on our career services team in the Somerville and Arlington areas. This position will also require the need to occasionally work with clients in the Lynn area.
Our Career Resource Specialists handle a variety of roles: helping clients develop career goals, teaching pre-vocational and job retention skills, providing life skills training, and coaching our clients to help them maximize success.
This position also requires networking within the community, generating and cultivating strong relationships with local businesses and developing partnerships with employers to secure community-based, long-term employment for our diverse roster of clients. This candidate will support adults and youth, including at-risk youth, students - all individuals with disabilities.
Successful candidates must be:
Passionate about helping others and making a difference within the community
Compassionate, energetic, enthusiastic and able to motivate others
Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Flexible and able to manage an ever-changing caseload
Excellent communicators - both verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently and autonomously
Strong networkers, who can effectively and confidently build relationships and galvanize community partnerships with local businesses
Requirements:
Human Service Skills / Youth experience preferred
Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are preferred but not required
Bachelors degree required
Valid drivers license and proof of automobile insurance

This is a Full-Time position that requires a flexible availability - Monday through Friday that is primarily during daytime business hours - 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This position can be Part-Time and flexible to work around the chosen candidate's availability.
This is a community-based position. Travel in and around the Somerville, Arlington and occasionally to the Lynn areas is required for this position.
The chosen candidate will also be required to submit to criminal background and motor vehicle record checks that must meet company standards.
