Prepress Specialist

Somerville, MA commercial printer seeks experienced Prepress Specialist. Must have solid experience with Mac OSX, Adobe CS, Quark, Preps, PitStop. Experience with PrintFusion a plus.
Primary responsibilities include:
Processing customer files to produce proofs and plates
Operating and maintaining prepress equipment
Reading and interpreting production orders
Imposition and CTP plate making
Building templates, processing orders and maintaining PTI Marcomm web-to-print portal
This is a hands-on position and includes making proofs and plates. This position requires operating a NexusManager RIP to process digital files.
The right candidate will be able to:
Operate Macintosh and PC computers
Understand and operate basic graphic arts software
Navigate a computer network with numerous servers and workstations
Read and interpret written job order specifications
Knowledge of PrintFusion a big plus
