Job Summary
TheLinen Program Director is responsible for overall management of the LinenDepartment functions and personnel on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis. Responsibilities include inventorymanagement, purchasing, and quality control for all departments using linensupplies throughout the hospital.
Essential Job Duties andResponsibilities
Manage linen inventories to ensure that customers are ordering the appropriate amounts of linen, know where linen is stored within facilities, and maximize linen utilization
Control linen losses thru waste reduction programs within Partner's Hospitals
Educate and train end user
Monitor and adjust PAR levels. Measure and Monitor pounds per adjusted patient days
Develop programs and policies that can be deployed in the Partner's network
Ensure execution of facility policies: Discharge, bed change and linen use policies
Ensure excellent communication and responsiveness
Develop, monitor and maintain emergency programs (EMS linen, etc.)
Participate in Linen Committees up to and including Chairing Committee
Evaluate and recommend Product Selections to improve utilization and patient satisfaction
Analyze customer usage data to develop strategies to maximize utilization and minimize loss

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 or more years linen or inventory management experience
Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products
Professional skills in problem management and follow-up
Ability to work independently, with personal accountability, to deliver results
Excellent social interaction and relationship management skills
Team-oriented mentality
Able to be an instrument of change and improvement in work processes
Preferred Qualifications
B.A. or B.S. degree
Work Environment
Theworking environment is indoors and is seasonally heated and cooled with minimalnoise levels. The position requires considerable standing and walking inhospitals and outpatient facilities, driving to multiple customers per day,typing and the ability to move objects of less than 25 pounds. Theposition requires the ability to communicate in person, telephonically and viaemail.
