Sr. User Experience Designer - Growing Digital/Design Agency
Our client is an award winning agency that combines a small agency feel with some big name clients to develop a variety of mobile and web solutions for clients. As they continue to grow their Harvard SQ based Design team, they are looking to bring on a Senior UX Designer to their team.
The right candidate is going to be at home taking a client's needs in order to conceptualize projects, design from scratch and work on a cross functional team to build an intuitive and well-designed final product. In order to achieve success, the Senior UX Designer will work amongst a talented team in a great Harvard SQ location in order to bring client ideas to life.
Responsibilities:
Lead the discovery process with clients to understand needs, collect requirements and articulate business goals
Develop site maps, user flows, and taxonomy documents and present to client
Create interactive wireframes using Axure
Present and defend wireframes to the client
Audit existing website and competitor websites and provide a meaningful analysis of the findings
Articulate how visual design considerations or HTML/production issues might impact UX decisions
Assist technical leads in the creation of project functional specifications
Requirements:
At least 4 years of experience in User Experience (UX) developing content rich websites
Understand the design nuances related to responsive design - must have experience designing for responsive websites
Skilled in active listening and able to lead conversations with clients
Must be cross-disciplinary - able to work with visual design, development, and content teams
Ability to work independently, show initiative, and take ownership of all projects and assignments to achieve positive results
Knowledge of content management systems and their impact on site design and functionality
Bachelor's degree or higher in design or related field
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of web analytics tools and establishing conversion metrics
User research experience including writing interview guides, developing surveys, interviewing participants
Planning, conducting, and reporting on usability tests
Experience working on higher education websites
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
